oh it has happened already
only one tray though... that's all i had going at the moment
a damn 1/2 pint cake on it's fourth flush was the cause... shoulda threw
that bastard away sooner
oh well... it was getting time to clean things up a bit anyway
i got my revenge... half a can of lysol kicked the green mold colony's
ass
still pisses me off.. three pints gone
oh well, i'll have 8 more ready in a matter of days
and i got enough stored up for myself so it's not too big of a deal

Sure it wasnt just blueing of the cake? What i thought was green mold was
just blueing due to lack of water. Just a thought.

I guess I was a little confusing in my post. I had a cased tray that got
the greenery but it all started on an old half pint cake. It showed up
on the cake first and I threw it out and two days later my casing was
50% green 50% white. But yeah it's definately mold.

you can cut the bad part out.
and at least 3inches past the green.
add more castings to the missing part.
some times it works, sometimes not.
good luck BUGGIN69
i had a 68 bug with the sun roof and the auto stick tranny.
it was fun to drive.

it's about half gone... i'd rather jsut throw it out than risk getting
myself, or worse, somebody else sick over it
no big deal... i'm out about $1.47 for materials... oh well right

69 beetle that was basically restored to original
then a 72 that had a built motor and racing clutch, dropped 2 and a half
inches in the front... that thing would (still will if I put a battery
in it) spin first through third
you wouldn't believe the looks I used to get when I would leave form a
stop light beside some coupe tearing ass away chirping 3rd gear...
complete and utter disbelief
what fun... those were the good years

i wonder if placing some plastic wrap ontop of the green mold 3 or so inches
past the mold then tucking the plastic warp under the casting green covered
mold.
removing the mold this way may stop the green meane from spreading.
who knows
just a thought

Better to cut then tear. Mold spore release in there and your done!!! And
don't cut with a hot knife, the heat from flame sterilization can cause the
mold to release the spores as well. The blade will still be plenty sterile
after waiting to cool for a few minutes. If you have some sterile water you
could use it to cool the blade as well.
better safe than sorry
