Bread and Orange Peels makes acid?

I've heard that if you put a orange peel on a slice and bread and let it sit
for an week, you can eat it, and it has the same effect as 'shrooms/acid. Is
there any truth to this?

Yeah, actually there is, but you dont do it with bread, you put the orange
in a sugar and water mizture until it gets moldy and it has the chemicals
that are made into lds in it, and you will trip quite nicely, but its not
safe to eat because it also has ergotamine which is poisionus. It was ergot
fungus on wheat that caused st. anthonies fire epidemic, the ergotamine
caused a burning sensation in the limbs and gengrene. Of course to develop
these things you would need to be exposed to quite a bit for a while, but
just one time isnt going to cause it, but you could get quite ill.

this method is a buncha crap. the way i heard it you spread toothpaste on the
orange peels and let them dry. "this is how they trip in jail" ...whata crock.

Maybe this is an urban legend sparked from Shulgin's lichens + orange
peels method to make a THC like chemical.
