Sweet JESUS!! People are so carefull in here.

I read peroxide and I was like wuh??

A friend of mine (yep... my dog)... Has been doing this for years and I
think only myself and Cap'n Max cuts corners on the PF tek.

My dog's shrooms grew in cold climate 70F, incubated jars in 68F, never
heated anything, never used hepi-filters and never thought about using
peroxide. only 1 jar has ever gotten contammed and that was a long long
time ago.

The only thing I would say to watch out for is fanning out your tank MORE
during fruiting or things get messed up after you pick the shrooms. I would
use a fish pump with a difuser rod under the perlite or clay rocks to add O2
and have a couple holes near the ground level so the CO2 escapes...

hehee

all about the automation!

a diffuser rod would be some type of bubbling stone.

Mushrooms aren't rocket science, but they are nature...
you can get some shrooms with no percaution but..

I think that the whole PF tek (MMGG) let's you appreciate (understand) them
and their growth more.

I think he is talking about the little stone things that you can
connect your air pump too. I can't remember the real name right now.
but they make some of them that are long rods. I have seen lots of
people who put the air pump stome into a cup or other open container
of water that they sit next to the mushies. that way it gives some
moisture and creates air pressure to push the air out. I haven't heard
of putting it under your perlite, but it seems to be an interesting
idea.

personally, I just use perlite in a rubbermaid box, I put the water
level up ven to the perlite. then I put paper towels down on top of
the perlite. Insert 100% colinized cakes with about 3-4 inches between
them. put about 3-4 layers of plastic wrap over the top of the box for
a lid. put tape around the plastic wrap so that is can't fall off, but
itsn't totally sealed down. then cut a slit in the top for access. put
another sheet of plastic wrap on top to cover up the hole, tape only
one side to the other plastic wrap. that makes kinda a lid. After that
use a thourough spraying with a mister bottle on the walls of the box
and fan it out rally good, or use a small hand fan thingy or something
like that if you are lazy. You only ned to do this once a day. and My
mushrooms grow fine. They have stretched stems because of CO2 build up
sometimes, but the first flush of my last batch had a stem 1 fot long,
with an unopened cap with the veil on it as big as a tennis ball, and
the stem was a big as a ball park frank after its been cooked.
