What Is This?

This is my second attempt at growing these, and the same thing is happening both times. This is about day five of after fully colonized and these weird white ball shaped things are appearing on the cake. On the first attempt, i watched the mushrooms grow, and after fully grown the white balls turned blueish. Is there anything i can do to get rid of them or should i trash this cake also? and what can i do next time to prevent these from showing up?

Tripdawg is right, those are either mutants or sclerotia, both are active...just leave em til they get bigger then cut em off. Psilocybe Mexicana is known to do that as well as a few other species of psilocybe...if those are cubie cakes, they may be mutants...otherwise it's sclerotia...not contamination...good job.
