Am growing some Ban Hua Thai (BHT) shrooms in glasses using the PF tek. Swimm has noticed that the BHT strain grows fairly quick. Yesterday wanted to case the one batch of BHT and noticed that in on of the glasses there appears a sponge-like mycellial growth. It seems as if it is oozing some kind of liquid which varies from transparent to dark brown. Basically it looks like a huge mycelial blob which has many holes in it containing the liquid.What could this be? What is the liquid? Usable?
I took a sterile needle and tried to tease the growth apart, it seems a bit firmer than the plain white mycelium and the inside is brownish - have the feeling it is part of a shroom which perhaps collapsed. It does not seem to be rotting as there is no foul smell to it - ot just smells very mushroom like.
Drained all the brown liquid (about 10ml) and took pictures of it - would like to submit one or two for all to see - but not sure how to...help?
Anyway, would like to know what this growth is and what to do with it.
