I live in the South and am growing San Pedro for the first time. This will be their first winter at my house. I was thinking of trying to continue to grow them this winter in a miniature greenhouse I either will buy or make (and I don't plan to make a piece of junk greenhouse. It would be rather small (about five feet tall and two to three foot squared). Will this work? If not I may have to invest in a light system, which could be more expensive in the long run. Any help on this general subject should help. Can you grow San Pedro outdoors in a greenhouse in the Southern US? Does a mini greenhouse work as well as a bigger one? What do you think?

You can grow T. pachanoi outside in the south during winter, just cover them up when the temps get low so that the tips do not turn black, even if they do turn black from cold temps you can just cut the tops off and get several pups from the cut.

Cacti are made to survive.
