Yep green gills, you can see green tints in the gills.

I have always thought these were a very beautiful robust mushroom.

Also known as "Morgan's Lepiota." Not active and will make many people sick with nausea, vomiting and cramps.

All three are the same mushroom, Chlorophyllum molybdites or "Green Gills."

In Florida, this musheroom is the number one toxic shroom eatin' by those looking for cubes. In 1979, I was living for six months in Jacksonville, picked cubes at Dinsmore Dairy farms with permission. One time in Riverside in jacksonville I was walking down the street and was a whole crop of about 30 green gills growing when a doofer on a bike rode by me and said, "those are magic cube shrooms. They are really visual."

A good thing I knew about my shrooms. The Poison Control Center in Atlanta, Georgia list it as the most poisonous shroom eaten in Florida, often mistaken for a cube. This frigging shroom looks nothing like a cube at all

Here is a good example of Morgan's Lepiota (Chlorophyllum Molybdites) or 'green gills.' These were from Thailand. They have a cosmopolitan distribution.

From victims I have talked to, confused about this mushroom being "Magic", they were all new, never collected a real one before......but knew they turned blue or green. It is the gills of this mushroom that made them think they had something trip worthy. I get more calls on this mushroom poisoning, from Poison Control Centers and Emergency Rooms, than any other. Many victims think they are going to die. For some, it is a terrible gastro-intestinal voyage, even passing blood. One woman called her lawyer to the hospital to change her will. This is one of the very few mushrooms that produce green spores. It will also have a pinkish red bruising reaction.....showing on one of the pictures. A strange trait of this mushroom is, after several weeks of storage at room temperature, the spores turn color and change into an orange color. I have had posting issues here myself. Contact a mod and explain your problems. They solved and explained all my problems. I was impressed by the response I got. I just happened to stop by here. I usually only have time to visit "cultivation" Just now it said I did not have permission to make this post. I have to sign in AGAIN! This happens a lot. I now copy/paste my reply so when I can't post, at least when I sign back in, I can paste my reply instead of starting all over agian. Seems like some times you have to really work hard to make a post here.........grin. slp/fmrc
