Corn & Verm (VermyCorn!)

So I have this idea for a grow bag or to just keep your mycellium going non stop so you don't have to grow from a spore or print from scratch.

I decided to use corn, soaked in water for 24 hours then simmered for an hour to make sure it's well hydrated. Drain. Then mix with vermiculite so it's around 50/50. Put into a jar or bag and then pressure cook or bake it. Once it cools down get into your sterile room and add a piece of mycellium from your current batch into the bag or jar. It should colonize rather quickly.

Hey if bird seed can work why wouldn't corn work?

It may work for a bag or "cake" method, but not if your going for what grain is most commonly used for whice is spawn, for g2g or casings.. If your going for a bag or cake though, add some poo, brf, millet, and some core too. It would make one hell of a wikid mixture..

Well the bag or jars would only serve as a holding place until it colonizes. But I'll try a jar or 2 with some brf and coir too just to see what happens.
