I need to find out what type of mushroom I have.

I was walking home from my work and I was walking through my neighbors yard when I saw a mushroom. I picked it from his front yard. I took a spore print and it's brown. the gills are alternating, like one is long and connects to the stem then the next one doesn't go all the way to the stem then after that short gill there is a smaller gill that doesn't go half way across the cap and so on. the top is smooth with a little indent right in the center of the cap. the cap also is brown and has a darker spot in the center. the edges of the cap seem to be cracking. the stem is very small about 2 inches and it's brown also with a base that is a little whiter then the rest of the stem. the cap is about one inch. the gills are a light brown. I'm new to this whole mushroom thing and if there is anymore information you need just tell me and I will find out.

now, by telling from the information you gave its hard to assume any mushroom. very rarely can a mushroom be identified by words...unless it bruises blue or has a blue spore print, but a picture would be most helpful :)
