im a novice when it come to hunting and was wondering if anyone could give the names of some common shrooms that grow in northern michigan.thanx

I read that common stuff you might find are these:
Conocybe smithii
Gymnopilus aeruginosus
Gymnopilus junonius
Gymnopilus luteofolius
Gymnopilus luteus
Panaeolus cinctulus
Pluteus salicinus
Psilocybe liniformans var. americana
Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata
Psilocybe silvatica
Make sure not to eat anything until you identify what it is and what it's commonly mistaken for. Be safe man.
ya cuz though all mushrooms are edible, some are only edible once.....then you die...:D

thanx for the info but i ment southern MI
same species, pretty sure that was just a list of MI shrooms period...

I think you'll have a better fighting shot at finding these in the southern end of the state. The UP might experience climates that only allow a small window to hunt in.
