It sounds like you can place them on some paper and run a fan over them. I've read that you want them to be "cracker dry" before storing them.

Hope that helps. I've never done it, I just have read about it.

nope just use a fan or put it on top of your cable box and in a day or two it will be dry as a cracker

use a food dehydrator if you have a lot to do, just keep it on low temps...

I've heard some people use a product called Damp-rid (there are probably other products like it too). They use that to remove moisture in the air. I'd have to read more into how it's used though. Hopefully this helps. Just make sure if you use damp-rid, don't let your harvest touch it!

Ive tried many a method and this one works great...

Fan dry on high for 24 hours, then use a tub with a tray of damprid WITH DRAIN HOLES...for those of you who dont know, when you use damprid it turns into liquid, if there isnt anywhere for this liquid to go away from the dry crystals, it makes the damprid work crappy...

anyway stick the shrooms in a tray, a mesh tray works good...and stick in there over the damprid, but dont let them damprid get on the shrooms derr...

Let that sit over night and there done...

Straight fan drying takes ages for me and leaves them still soft, but its humid where I live...

The fan dry/damprid combo does wonders for me...

After they are dry I put them in air tight latched jars in the freezer away from the light.

They stay fresh for ages.

Damp rid, is just like silica gel. You know those packets that come in coat pockets, and shoes? Yes that stuff so what you should do is go to a shoe store stock up, and just fill a bowl up about half an inch with them, place a screen/cloth over the bowl, place mushrooms on the screen, and they should dehydrate quickly... but the mushrooms still cant touch it, if they do they're ruined. I'm glad I have a dehydrator I take the heating element off so that it's just a fan current through the shelves. Over all vary simple task drying mushrooms.

[EDIT] lol bold

No damprid is not silica gel, this is like the 4th post ive seen from you spreading misinformation and just spouting off without reading the post...

Damprid turns into a liquid when you use it and is not reusable, you can dry silica gel...

Go read some more bro...youre turning this place into shroomery with your mis-info...

You are wrong they are the SAME thing, they are both a desiccant, a chemical that pulls water from the air, only difference is damp rid is a salt, calcium chloride, and silica gel is not. and silica gel turns into a gel, and can be dried in the oven and used again, unlike damp rid that turns into a liquid, and cant be reused. I have not posted any misinformation. I never said they were the same chemical, i said they were the same thing, because they are, they are both a desiccant. The same type of chemical. 2 different types of corrosive acid are still both corrosive acid, so they are the same thing.

I see why girls hate you, i do too. You are a complete ass which is why you were banned.

[EDIT] just like baking powder can be used as baking soda u just have to triple the amount because it's weaker than the other, but they do the same thing, and are basically the same.
