Just joined and this looks to be a very imformative group.
I'm getting ready for a pan cyan grow and have read that FAE is very important.Wanted something a little more accurate for timing then just open and fan.So....with that being said here goes.List:1 old AA clock works.1 pinwheel plastic thingy.1 D battery size fan.
Spliced into one side of wire to fan this being the on off switch.As the pinwheel turns it makes contact with foil attached to pinwheel.Fan runs for approx.1 min. Picture shows a little better then i can explain.Any constructive thoughts?

put tyvek around the outside of the box over the fan opening to prevent contams from entering. I use a aquarium pump with tyvek glued over the air inlet for my FC's FAE, and it works a treat. Good Idea, but i would really filter ther incoming air with a membrane.

It would be easier to use an aquarium pump with some poly-fil shoved in the end of the end of the airline tubing that is going into your container, because then it filters the air before it leaves the tube, and poly-fil is cheap, and could be replaced regularly for constant fresh air. I use a shotgun style Rubbermaid with poly-fil holes on all 4 sides, so there's my FAE, lol.
