mushroom spores

I've been reading a lot about growing lately and i've been thinking of giving it a try, the forums really really help a lot.


anyways, is it possible to get spores out of a dried mushroom cap the same way you would if it was fresh or do they have to be fresh?anyone tried it, maybe a special trick or something?

You could cut a gil off and make a syringe out of that but you need to let the spores saturate overnight, it wont be clean though so your best bet is join shroomotopia.com and PM me for a free print:D

like AD said cut off a gill and make a syringe, then you can drop a tiny bit of spore onto some agar and grow it out.
Other than that, aquire yourself a print ;) easily obtainable
