Are there sometimes white, ropelike runners in the mycelia? I do not remember those with my last kit.
sometimes the myc is rhizomorphic which means it looks ropey...:D

those "ropes" are actually highly desireable, the thicker the better, fuzzy stuff can be good, but its not as strong.
