This project is that of collonized wbs through spawned organic potting soil. No sterilization or pasturization of the substrate. A thin layer of non spawned potting mix was used as a top dressing to help retain moisture.....The tray was fruited in open air conditions.I posted these pics in another thread but some how I miss link or something?Dunno.

These types of experiments are conducted for the purpose of knowledge gained.

Nice, that is interesting open air, did you have anything for humidity?

It works pretty much the same as outdoor methods....Rain on it morning and at night....indoors its just misting well....Ideal being not to let top layer dry out....when pinning moisten around pins but not directly on pins.

I have seen some ghetto "martha" set ups where an old style impeller cool mist is used just blowing over or near the things...in the open air and also with just a drape of plastic over a shelf.

Gretchen, I left a post in your thread for you so could you please post what I asked asap. I just bought 2 laser printers by accident so I have to sell one before I will have the cash but need info too.

Sorry to hijack.

I have seen some carts with plastic draped over em that worked rather well too.

Amazing...however I'm not clear on how you spawned the organic soil...I've noticed that if my bags of miracle grow sit outside in the heat uncovered mycelium grows quite well. And that is not organic at all. Just the ten dollar bag from Walmart. However, not sure if B+ mycelium will establish. Thanks for any help guys and gals.

Open air is good if you have contamination problems cuz trich doesn't do well with open air, though you do sacrifice some of the moisture that would have gone into fruiting, I want to thank you for this thread cuz it has helped me develop another technique for dealing with problem grows...

I am not a fan of unpasturized substraights, they just go bad when they are on their 2nd or 3rd flush
