So you want to make some grow bags and be cool like me!!
This Tek will be for making grain bags, you can use Wild bird seed(WBS) or Rye for this

Supplies
-One Large Bag With or without injection port
http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/4013/imagephpkj5.jpg
-3-4 Quarts of Grain(rye or WBS)(i take all the sunflower seeds out of it)
-1 PC
-1 Bag Sealer or impulse sealer (can get one at walmart for $30)

-Strainer
-1 large garage Clip

measure out 3-4 quarts of Grain
Put in to pot and fill with water

cook rye at 160-170 for 1.5 hours IMPORTANT(do not let the water get to hot or it will make the rye bust)

Drain off rye and strain it

Important Step Be sure to let the Grain dry (Grain should be so dry that if you Rub it with a paper towel then there is no wet mark on the Paper towel)

So once the Grain is dry and you are sure of this then place your dry grain in a Bag

*DO NOT SEAL BAG* (some special bags you can seal before PC'ing but you must let the PC cool down completely before opening top)

Carefully fold top and fold top over the whole bag and place into your PC

Add water to your PC and follow the direction of your PC and at 15 psi cook for 3.5 hours
When done let PC cool off
Clean yourself and make a somewhat sterile enviroment (Be sure to clean your nasty hands too and place gloves on)
When your PC is cool and you can open it do this very sterile and take the bag out of the PC
Bring straight over to your Bag sealer and seal NOT vacuum your bag closed
Tada!! you done making a bag
To open up your bag use your large garage Clip and clip the top of the bag to a poll or something to leave it hanging

After you bag is expanded your ready to inoculate
If you dont have a bag with and injection port just place tpe directly over the hole when you pull your needle out

I dont usually shake the bags until it colonizes to 30-45%

How many cc's should i use??
Use 3-6cc's of a mutlispore syringe
Use 8-14cc's of LC syringe

This Tek was writen very fast and if you dont understand something or have question or see that something is missing please tell me Thank you!!!

Ya it was originally Monstermitch's recipe I think but it was reposted by Haxcor or this is his take on it. I will try to repost some of shroomotopia.com's threads here so we can both benefit. If the board owner would like we can backlink our sites and that may help in SEO? PM me if interested though I will be very busy for the next 3 days so I will get to it when I can.

The bonus is they average 4-6 oz wet which is why they are so popular, plus you can get almost sterile prints from a bag.:D

Very interesting to see this, thanks. I've been wanting to try sclerotium growth, and it seems this may be the way to go.

sclerotia is garbage and a waste of time...unless you are growing psilocybe atlantis (I think), most of the time philosophers stones are too weak...but sclerotia takes months and you could just grow cubies in 1/3 of the time and get the desired effects...

most sclerotia types wont do well in bags either...and are much harder to grow

Thanks for the reply NHMI, so I assume Tampenensis strain is not worth the effort?

Thanks
