mushroom kits at www.pfjars.com? should we offer them?
I'm thinking about putting together for beginners to use to learn how to
grow mushrooms, based on the PF tek... the kit would be reasonably priced,
and would include everything needed to grow mushrooms, sterilized PF jars,
fruiting chamber, humidifier, thermometer, etc...
would there be any demand for such a kit?

at the beginning, i would have been interested because i was not sure
about jars, rice....used. can also be a very good idea.
After few samples, no need of kits.

I don't think you need a humidifier or thermometer (I never use those,
not even when I use a grow chamber). And the problem with the readymade
substrate jars is that they always will be expensive for the buyer
because of the postage. And since the productivity of PF substrate is
best when it is hand mixed (with fork or spoon), it requires a lot of
work to sell jars. Plus: nothing beats freshly made substrate (it tends
to dry out over time when it is not inoculated or when the verm toplayer
is too thick and it easily spoils when the verm toplayer is disturbed or
is too thin). Before the PF TEK was published, Psylocybe Fanaticus sold
spore syringes plus sterilized jars of a secret mixture (which is now
known as PF Substrate). It was not a commercial success.
