Some pmed me and asked me how many times can one use the same syringe. I thought I would post here to help explain.

Syringes are very inexpensive and if you have the money I would suggest buying new ones each time. However when you are just starting out and or like to help the environment you can definitely re-use a syringe a lot!
Just make sure to sterilize it properly in a pressure cooker. It's best to wrap with aluminum foil so they don't melt!.

When I first started reusing my syringes, this is what I did and it worked great.

Get some distilled water boiling on the stove. Draw the boiling water into the syringe and let it sit for a minute. Dispel the water into the sink and repeat this 4 times. Finally, draw the water into the syringe, cap it and set it in the fridge to cool. It's ready to use.

You can use a syringe untill the rubber on the inside becomes cracked or the tube starts to warp. I just fill my syringes with water and wrap in some foil and PC at 15psi for 1 hr, sometimes 2 if i have jars in. What you said muchy-mart also works but on my last run when the syringe is pushed in, I fill the back part with 70% and then suck up some water. Its pointless to use hot water to sterilize if you just going to push possible contams back in when you squirt the water out

I normally wrap the syringes in foil and place them inside a quart jar with a sealed lid. Place the jar in the pc and steam the shit out of the jar for 45mins. No water or steam comes in direct contact with the syringe so it stays dry, but the heat inside the closed jar does a nice job sterilizing it. I never had any problems with re-used contaminated syringes. I sterilize my scalpel and other metallic tools in the same manner. Hope this helps.

Syringes may be cheap, but I still get frowned on every time I walk into the pharmacy asking for fresh syringes and since I have so many of them it makes sense to sterilize 'em.

Great Idea, Thanks for the tip!!!

Well, when I was a junkie one of my friends and I used the same needle about 50-75x before it finally clogged and was all bent, slightly shorter......oh! Mushrooms ya, lol.....I don't shoot anything anymore but I have seen needles used hundreds of times and even after the needle is falling out and the plunger broke so they used a qtip & vaseline...but with the big guage needles, you can either buy more or sterilize em. When I was a junkie I used to drive from MA to NH to buy needles and now I live in NH and have to drive to MA to get em now...lol.....but since I only use the big ones I just re-use em. PC, whatever though it doesn't always work great, so now I peroxide then alcohol and even lysol before putting back together.....would be easier to buy but I have someone who buys the syringes full of spores for me....I keep the prints and well, he makes out ok too....lol:D

I am gonna definitly try it your way and see if I have better luck. A lot of my spores come from board members so sterility is somewhat les than normal. I have recently gotten a few syringes of some nasty shiznit too....but it's the thought that counts and I use advanced photo-catalytic oxidation anyway so it kills the shit in my air in an hour or so from entering, well over 90% in the 1st hour according to UofCinn, so no biggie....but I got a variety of green growing on a few things that are about to pin so I have been burning it daily with a micro-torch to dry that area as much as possible. Even though ash absorbs moisture, it seems to inhibit growth somewhat....then at least a daily burning til fruiting is done then I will chuck it....or actually I can try the mold and mildew remover I use on homes as well as the surface protectants...I buy it per job so I am out.

I Just drop in boiling water it for a minute, then fill syringe with boiling water shake and expelled the liquid a few times, but I don't need them to be sterile, I just want to remove any spores stuck in their so I can use them for LC! :) I have never worried about contaminants while dealing with LC, other than h2O2 water for spraying.
