I've been growing some mushies for a while now, and I've added a casing layer and its ready to beging fruiting, but hasn't yet. How can I force start the fruiting process?

When adding a casing layer it is best to put the substrate with casing into a dark area for 2-3 days until mycelium can be seen in 2-3 spots on the surface. After this, relocate to a spot with a drop in temperature and a local light source. Fruiting should occur after that.

You will want to patch first so you get an even break through in myc. THEN you can being fruiting

A sudden drop in temp and the introduction of light is the best way to initiate pinning, but only when the spawn run has completed.

If using a mush that doesn't need a casing I wait until it pins and then do the Fahtster Late Casing Method and it seems to pin 5x as much IMO...plus the light has an easier time stimulaqting pinning if it touches the surface of the substrate....do you see lil white dots yet....cuz they will become shroomies

I'm not into growing mushrooms. But I really love to learn.

so start reading in the tek section, pick a PF tek or wbs tek and follow it 100% and be patient, don't skip anything!

fresh air exchange (fae) is the most important pinning trigger. not light!

light is equally important, without light you can fan all you want and wont see pins, light tells them which way to grow, doesn't require much....otherwise growbags with shity filterpatches wouldn't grow shit and since they do, FAE only has to do with certain types that are sensetive, they will fruit regardless.

thanks for letting the users know the best possible ways of fruiting and its not a bad idea with this method .Is it really that the results came to be seen upto 2 to 3 days
