mycellium (the mushooms root like structure) is pretty resilliant. my grow right now came from a kit that i had that stopped producing mushrooms. as long as the mycellium isnt dead or infected all you have to do is provide a nutrient rich environment. in a sterile environment you would take your mycellium that isnt producing anymore mushrooms break it up and mix it with a bulk substrate ( i.e. compost, cow manure, straw ). psilocybe cubensis are grain loving mushrooms.

hope this is some help

I'm really interested in growing mushrooms. It's a good ingredient for dishes.

most of the time once a myc clump is in fruiting mode it rarely colonizes well and usually contamns if you try to spawn it again but I have had it work a few times....cloning two KS albino pieces as we speak.
